Well! That’s a good question as we even don’t know sometimes what to wear at home 😀 then what to wear at Ladakh trip would be a quite difficult task. But no longer with this post as I have added all the information related to what you consider packing from clothes to first-aid kit. Ladakh is a high-altitude desert with extreme temperatures, ranging from very hot during the day to freezing at night. It’s very important in what you should consider packing.
Clothing & Footwear:
- Inner layer: Wear thermal or moisture-wicking base layers to manage sweat and keep you warm. Pack t-shirts too as it works for any of the season when it’s cold you can always wear a jacket.
- Outer layer: Fleece or puffer jackets to provide insulation. you can carry with you light weight puffer jackets too.
- Trousers: Opt for comfortable and durable pants, such as trekking pants or cargo pants. Consider carrying waterproof pants in case of rain or snow.
- Socks: Pack a combination of regular and thermal socks to keep your feet warm.
- Footwear: Sturdy and comfortable trekking boots for walks and hikes.
- Headgear: A good quality sun hat to protect yourself from the strong sunlight. A warm beanie or hat for the cooler evenings and nights.
- Gloves: Thermal or insulated gloves for cold temperatures, especially if you plan to go on treks or higher altitudes.
In a nutshell if you don’t want to buy any of the above item then please buy a puffer jacket and a good pair of shoes. I have shared links below which I think is good without burning your pocket much.
